12" Multi-Purpose Rolling Rulers, best for drawing vertical lines, parallel lines, charts, 3-D drawings, angles, horizontal lines, circles, graphs, musical notes, etc... Functions as a compass, horizontal ruler, straightedge, protractor, circle template and angle template, all in one. Unique compass pivot button eliminates surface marking. Ideal for artists, students, pattern-makers, and designers.

To draw horizontal parallel lines, hold ruler in center with left hand and roll ruler downward, say 1 inch, which distance will automatically register and be seen in window. Draw line any desired length. Roll downward another 1 inch and drawanother line. Repeat as desired. (Lines can be all the same distance apart or varied as close as 1/16th of an inch horizontally.)

To draw vertical parallel lines, place ball point pen or pencil in any hole and roll ruler up or down. Lines as close as 1 inch apart are made in this manner without lifting ruler from paper. (lines closer than 1" are easily accomplished by lifting ruler and placing lines closer.)

To draw circles and arcs, place pencil or ball point pen in hole furthest left which acts as center pivot. Swing arc or circle by placing pen or pencil in any other hole. Rotate 360°.

You can draw squares, quadrants and other geometrical figures with the help of the ruler and the angle finder.
